About Me

Sonia Rash has over 15 years of legal experience, dedicating her professional and personal time to building up the community of Fort Bend.  She has been a fierce advocate for those who could not speak for themselves like the parent in need, the client with a bad contract, and the employee in an unsafe work environment. Sonia has been there to fight and took on each battle as her own. The responsibility to ensure justice has always been her focus. Sonia is a community leader that has always stood up for those that cannot stand up for themselves.

She then continued on to St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, where she received her Master of Arts in International Relations with her core in Economics.

While at St. Mary’s University, Sonia was a Freedom Writer for Amnesty International. She received the Presidential Award and worked tirelessly for human rights issues with the Coalition for Justice in the Maquiladoras in improving workers conditions at the Mexico Border.

Prior to Sonia branching out on her own, she worked for The Hall Law Firm, where she assisted in litigating complex civil suits, such as cases against Enron directors, civil rights suits and officer-involved shooting cases, amongst others.

When Covid-19 crisis began, Sonia immediately created a volunteer base to provide and deliver necessities to our most vulnerable citizens in Fort Bend. Sonia made it her mission to help others and provide them with a sense of security in a time of uncertainty.

Serve, respect, and respond to the needs of others are the core values that drive Sonia everyday. She continues to serve Fort Bend by volunteering in organizations such as Angels with a Mission, Friends of North Richmond, The Future Beyond Charity and FBISD Literacy Buddy program.
